Reports to: Team Lead or Engineering Manager Based at: Regional Office Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer, assisting on various projects, and contributing to the technical capability and production requirements of the Service Line. Provides exceptional customer service and coordination assistance with internal and external project partners (clients, architects, consultants, contractors, etc.). Write reports that do not require significant editing Maintain a working knowledge of building codes.
Assist with fee proposals by assessing time budget required to execute project tasks. Operate independently on routine projects. Review and help complete complex mechanical systems drawings. Complete phases of the project within the duration of time that has been budgeted. drawings and ensuring technical standards are met.
Contribute to maintaining and improving quality control. Prepare technical designs for building mechanical systems such as: HVAC Systems Plumbing Systems Fire Sprinkler and Fire Suppression Systems Select equipment and components to achieve goals of the mechanical system May resolve mechanical system construction conflicts with contractors. May resolve mechanical system construction technical issues and cost implications.
Conduct site reviews and write reports of observations and conclusions. Teammates are required to adhere to the company policies and guidelines as well as the company and client safety policies and practices in effect at any given time. Have the ability to apply for a Federal security clearance in order to work on institutional projects as required.
Typically a graduate of a 1-2 year technical certificate or diploma program in Mechanical Technology. ~a person who listens well, respects diversity of perspectives, and has an open, clear, and succinct communication style. Application knowledge of WE systems and programs including MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, AutoCAD, Revit MEP. Able to identify innovative technical approaches to building mechanical systems engineering.
Ability to identify risks and satisfy both client needs and company needs. Ability to coordinate with all Service Lines and extract and relay relevant information for complex projects. #
