1823 Water is an creative and rapidly growing company specializing in engineering services, operational support, and the operation of mining water management and treatment systems.
We are seeking a full-time Senior or Intermediate Engineer to play a key role in the development of our company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and complex projects within a agile team.
Manage and lead projects related to mine water treatment and water management
Produce engineering deliverables at the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design levels
Design and execute R&D; projects in partnership with mining companies
Analyze operational data and provide recommendations
Degree in civil, chemical, biotechnological, environmental, or equivalent experience
Senior Engineer: 10+ years of experience in the mining industry, in water management or water treatment
Intermediate Engineer: 5+ years of experience in the mining industry, in water management or water treatment
Expertise in mining water treatment:
coagulation, flocculation, pH adjustment, filtration, fluidised bed bioreactors, sulphide and hydroxide precipitation, RO membranes, ozone, and cyanide destruction
Complementary knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering for the design, fabrication, and operation of plants
Eng. in British Columbia, Alberta, or another provincial or territorial engineering association
Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Fluency in French is an asset
Position based in one of our offices (Vancouver or Calgary), with the possibility of remote work. Occasional travel to mining sites is expected.
