Reporting to the Deputy Public Trustee, the Senior Public Trustee Officer performs investigative, analytical, technical, bookkeeping and financial management, legal support, case management, and communications functions within the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT). The position supports the administration of estates and trusts and works closely with families, represented persons, legal and financial institutions, and community organizations across Nunavut.

The Senior Public Trustee

Officer manages financial and legal matters on behalf of individuals requiring a substitute decision maker, communicates complex financial and legal requirements to members of the public, and assists in ensuring estates and trusts are administered in accordance with Nunavut legislation.
