We’re looking for a collaborative and curious Graduate Software Engineer to join our development team at NetApp Instaclustr ( As part of the NetApp Cloud Storage division, our mission at NetApp Instaclustr ( is to make it easy for customers around the globe to run powerful open-source applications at scale - like Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Cadence, Valkey and ClickHouse, across both on-prem data-centres and in the cloud.

Instaclustr development team is responsible for building, maintaining and operating the platform that allows us to provision and reliably keep thousands of distributed application servers running worldwide. Join us at NetApp Instaclustr, and help power our customers’ success with the best open-source software solutions around. Take end-to-end ownership of the whole development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation,
testing and deployment through to our production environments.
Learn and apply DevOps best practices as part of a global team that operates 24x7. Proficiency in Java, SQL and at least one other modern programming language - and openness to learning more. A curious mindset with a keen interest in how your work will positively impact customers.
Eagerness to tackle recent challenges and continuously grow your software engineering skills Must be able to work from our Canberra or Melbourne office at least 2 days per week Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science. Please supply your academic transcript with your application. No previous experience is required for the role Working with a wide range of technologies and tools, such as: Java, SQL, Python, Typescript, Rust, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Debian, and more. ~ Our systems run on AWS, Azure and GCP. ~ Fully paid private health care with Medibank ~ Phone usage reimbursement ~ 5 volunteer days per year to give back to the community ~ 12 weeks parental leave for primary carers This means that most roles will have some level of in-office and/or in-person expectations, which will be shared during the recruitment process.
