As a Senior Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in strengthening WSP’s risk management practice across Canada. You will guide clients through complex challenges, deliver high‑impact assessments, and shape innovative approaches—while mentoring the next generation of risk practitioners.
Conduct technical risk assessments leveraging HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, QRA, and related methodologies. Support the development of Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Assessments (HRVAs) and Wildfire Strategies. Deliver clear, actionable reports that enable clients to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
Develop and refine tools, processes, and methodologies that improve risk analysis and reporting. Explore innovative approaches—including natural‑language‑driven insights—to enhance how risk information is generated and communicated. 5–8 years of experience in risk management, emergency management, engineering, or a related technical discipline. ~ Strong foundation in risk methodologies including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, and quantitative techniques such as fault tree and event tree analysis. ~ Demonstrated leadership in training, coaching, and developing others. ~ Additional assets: engineering accreditation, PMP designation, geotechnical experience, or business continuity planning knowledge. ~ A proactive, cutting-edge mindset with a focus on high‑quality delivery. NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900 The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
