Posting #: 2026-74 Title: Skate Patroller (Casual) -2 Positions Department: Recreation & Culture Duties: This position will assist management to achieve an effective operation in the Recreation Department through reliable work in facility program supervision and general facility custodial duties, observing and complying with municipal policies and recognized safety practices.

Duties include but are not limited to: custodial/security services in municipal arenas; enforcing public skating rules; performing minor cleaning tasks; cleaning and servicing washrooms, lobbies and foyers, and seating areas; emptying waste baskets, ashtrays; providing assistance to the general public; performing caretaking tasks as assigned.

Education:



Must have a minimum of Grade 10 education.

Skills: Must be

- able to understand verbal and written instructions in English, fill in simple forms, count, and perform addition and subtraction;
- able to exhibit courtesy, tact and diplomacy in dealing with the public and be neat and presentable in appearance;
- able to skate;
- able to demonstrate skill in the use of equipment and materials as provided;
- able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with department officials and staff;
