We are work with a high-growth Calgary Fintech company to hire a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team building customer-facing mobile applications and the backend services that power them. This role combines people leadership, technical direction, and delivery ownership in a high-availability environment where reliability, speed, and intuitive user experiences matter.

The Opportunity

Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 5–8 software engineers.

Partner closely with Product, Design, DevOps, and Security to turn product goals into explicit technical plans and delivery milestones.

Guide technical direction, design reviews, implementation planning, architecture, and engineering standards across mobile applications and supporting APIs.

Balance new feature delivery with platform investment, technical debt, performance, security, and operational reliability.

Own the health of production systems, including observability, incident response, SLAs, CI/CD, automated testing, and on-call improvements.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience managing software engineers, ideally mobile-focused teams,



with demonstrated success coaching and developing strong engineers.

5+ years of prior hands-on software development experience, with meaningful native or hybrid mobile expertise.

Strong technical depth in modern mobile development;

experience with Kotlin, Swift, and/or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is highly valued.

Experience delivering customer-facing applications where reliability, scalability, performance, and security are critical.

A strong cross-functional leadership style with the ability to work effectively with Product, Design, DevOps, and senior engineering stakeholders.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving, builder-oriented environment with high ownership and accountability.
