Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as an appointment criterion for permanent and temporary appointments over six months made through this process. Employees are required to work in office in accordance with the CRA's requirement for on-site presence. Specific on-site presence requirements will be shared with candidates selected for appointment.

SP-05 Trust Accounts Examination Officer (SP0397): ~ Examines accounting documents, primarily at the taxpayer's or a representative's place of business, to determine amounts outstanding with respect to the legislation administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). ~ Driving to appointments in the field 4 days per week. Fieldwork will be included in the 80% work on-site requirement. ~5-day overnight trip every 6 weeks. ~12 overnight travel days at least once per year ~ Transporting equipment weighing up to 10 kg, such as laptop computers, printers, and briefcases to the appointments. As a result, any staffing from this process will be limited to temporary opportunities.

Permanent staffing may be considered if circumstances change while this pool is still valid. Any individual residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and permanent residents residing abroad. Preference for appointment will be given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

If you are a candidate from the general public, you will have to pay for any expenses related to your participation in this staffing process as well as any relocation costs if you receive an offer of employment from this process. Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however,



be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions in any CRA office located within the Western Region. Additional applicants may be considered, as required, to meet operational needs and will be notified in writing of the next steps in the staffing process.

Education: ~ Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Foreign education credentials and designations: If you have foreign education credentials, you must have your education credentials confirmed by a recognized credential assessment service and provide proof of Canadian equivalency to the staffing board. Proof of Education Candidates are responsible for ensuring that clear and legible electronic copies of your education credentials are uploaded as attachments into the education factor(s) in the education section of their candidate profile.

Trust Accounts Compliance

Inventory (TCNI) Employer Accounts Corporate Assessment Processing Program The candidate must have performed a majority of the expected duties and completed training.

Experience working as a SP-04 or higher in a Revenue Collections program, administering the Income Tax Act or Excise Tax Act. The candidate must have performed a majority of the expected duties and completed training.

Experience doing payroll, or GST for a company/organization outside of the CRA. Individuals who have recently (within the last four (4) years) completed or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program leading to a certificate, diploma, degree or professional designation in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, commerce or another related field to the position being staffed. Proof of education and/or enrollment may be required.

This would include experience such as examining books and records, analyzing accounting documents, and interpreting legislative, legal and/or procedural matters to promote/enforce compliance. If you have a limitation that may impact your performance during an assessment, such as a test or interview, you may require an accommodation, and we encourage you to ask for it. Rejection on probation Planning, organizing and monitoring Test Candidates who have already achieved the required pass mark for the Accounting Level 1 test, or have successfully completed the Financials Accounting Fundamentals (FA1) or equivalent course, are exempt from taking the standardized Accounting Level 1 test.

Candidateswho have not taken the Accounting Level 1 test, or do not have the FA1 or equivalent courses, will be invited to take Accounting Level 1 test if they are screened into the process. Candidates with foreign education credentials must have their education confirmed by a recognized credential assessment service.
