About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and patient Special Needs Child Educator Assistant to support children with diverse learning needs in Kimberley . This role involves working closely with lead educators to implement individualized education plans (IEPs), provide one-on-one assistance, and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will help children develop academic, social, and life skills, fostering their confidence and independence. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs and eager to grow their skills in inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist lead educators in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, reinforcing learning concepts and providing academic assistance.
- Help children develop social skills, emotional regulation, and independence in daily activities.
- Adapt learning materials and classroom activities as directed by the educator to meet individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and behavior,



reporting observations to the lead educator.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Assist with personal care needs of students as required, maintaining dignity and respect.

Requirements

- Experience working with children, preferably with special needs or in an educational setting.
- A certificate or qualification in Special Needs Education or Childcare is advantageous.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with diverse abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to assist children as needed.
