The Chance

This position is based at our St‑Laurent head office within the Talent Acquisition division and requires on‑site presence four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day.

What You’ll Do

Lead a Seamless Recruitment Process

- Conduct structured interviews to evaluate candidates.
- Manage the offer process, including background checks, salary recommendation and extending offers.
- Keep hiring managers informed at every stage, ensuring transparency, alignment, and a positive experience.

Be a Strategic Talent Partner

- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, define role requirements, and shape effective hiring strategies grounded in market knowledge and compensation insights.
- Provide guidance on candidate slates and interview panels using your expertise to influence decisions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Build strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and strategic networking, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates for current and future needs.

Act as a Data & Insights Analyst

- Leverage recruitment metrics and insights to optimize search strategies and influence hiring decisions.
- Interpret key recruitment reports, using data to identify opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Apply a solid understanding of the talent acquisition funnel to refine processes and enhance hiring outcomes.

Serve as a Candidate Career Coach

- Develop a deep understanding of each role — its key success factors, responsibilities, and impact — and use that knowledge to engage and attract candidates.
- Assess candidates, evaluating skills, experience, competencies,



and cultural fit while providing feedback and basic interview preparation when appropriate.
- Build meaningful relationships with candidates by understanding their motivations, communicating Abbott’s employee value proposition, and ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the process.

Be a Change Agent and Culture Champion

- Embrace and promote the use of technology and tools to streamline workflows and elevate the hiring experience.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a continuous‑improvement mindset, challenging the status quo to enhance performance and outcomes.
- Represent the organization at recruitment events, showcasing our opportunities to prospective talent.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and vendors.
- Lead and support local and regional TA initiatives related to early careers, branding, and diversity.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required. Accredited Human Resources Professional (CHRP), strong asset.
- At least 2 to 3 years of full life cycle professional recruiting experience working in a high volume, high pressure environment.
- Experience recruiting in healthcare, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
- Success in managing multiple requisitions across various divisions.
- Successful track record building relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Workday and Phenom is an asset.
- The incumbent must be able to communicate well in English (50% of the time) and French, as his or her duties require interaction with stakeholders and colleagues outside Quebec and Canada.
