Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Keewaytinook Okimakanak, focusing on clinical services for children in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas. Your expertise will help support developmental progress. This full time position includes conducting assessments, formulating interventions, and offering educational consultations primarily aimed at children from birth to 18 years.
The SLP will also travel to remote KO communities four times per year, while utilizing telemedicine for ongoing support. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess speech and language capabilities of children
- Develop customized treatment plans for clients
- Deliver interventions in individual and group settings
- Consult and educate families and educators on speech issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Membership with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Experience with diverse communities
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and provide follow-up services
