Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, automate, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms supporting the core product. Working closely with Engineering, QA, Security, and IT teams, you'll improve platform reliability, developer productivity, security, observability, and cost efficiency while contributing to platform engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build, deploy, and operate Kubernetes-based workloads (EKS preferred)




- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Monitor infrastructure and applications using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and centralized logging solutions
- Participate in production incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability and developer experience
- Implement cloud security best practices and support compliance initiatives
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs
- Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, and platform engineering technologies

Non-Negotiables

- 5–8 years of hands-on DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience
- Proven expertise managing AWS infrastructure at scale
- Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) or containerized orchestration
- Production-grade experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
- Experience with observability/monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK)
- Track record of owning reliability and security initiatives end-to-end

Nice to Have

- Experience with Nomad or Consul
- Kafka or event-streaming infrastructure experience
- Cloud data stores (ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis)
- HashiCorp tool ecosystem (Consul, Vault)
- Cloud security, compliance, or FinOps background
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
- Experience working with identity/security platforms

Compensation & Advantages

- Base: CAD $90K–$120K (flexible for the right person)
