Sr Mobile Developer - Android

Rate: CAD$50/hr on T4

Toronto, ON-Hybrid - 2 days onsite to start, then transition to 4 days onsite starting Jan 2027

Long term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong Kotlin expertise to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile applications using modern Android development practices.

The candidate will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver reliable and user-friendly mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.

Build scalable and maintainable applications using Android SDK and modern Android architecture.

Develop responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces following Material Design principles.

Work with Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, and WorkManager.

Implement contemporary UI using Jetpack Compose.

Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into Android applications.

Work with JSON, authentication,



push notifications, and third-party SDK/API integrations.

Implement MVVM / Clean Architecture and appropriate design patterns.

Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code.

Develop unit tests and UI tests and work closely with QA to resolve defects.

Troubleshoot performance issues, crashes, memory leaks, and other production issues.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and usability requirements.

Support application releases through Google Play Store and CI/CD pipelines.
