Our client specializes in mechanical and electrical systems, along with sustainability consulting. They work across a diverse range of building types, including commercial, industrial, institutional, retail, restaurant, multi-residential, and specialty facilities. Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

Working with them, means you'll be part of a close-knit team, tackling diverse and challenging projects in the ICI sector, with ample opportunities for skilled growth and development. Implement the design concept through the preparation of electrical detailed design, production drawings and schematics for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Design and prepare layouts and specification for lighting, electrical distribution (single line diagrams), emergency power distribution, fire alarm, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, cable, and panel schedules.

Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings.



Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.

Review shop drawings to confirm they adhere to project requirements. Consistently follow company policies, procedures, and file structures/formatting. Post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required. ~ Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset. ~ Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is considered an asset. ~5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings. ~ Work experience designing HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems. ~ Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Canadian National Building Code (NBC), etc. ~
