AECOM is actively seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Winnipeg, MB with extensive experience in dam safety reviews, liquefaction analysis and foundation design.

This is a Full-time role. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the modelling and design of dams, hydro fracture analysis, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, railways, highways and airports, excavation support systems, tunnels, trenchless construction including micro-tunneling and horizontal directional drilling, staged embankment construction in conjunction with pre-fabricated vertical drains and ground improvement methods (stone columns, rigid inclusions, soil mixing, dynamic compaction). The successful candidate will have opportunity to work on major transportation, water resources, marine, civil infrastructure and building projects. manage projects and be responsible for completion on schedule and financial performance; write, compile,



and review geotechnical reports and proposals for major projects; prepare and present technical papers and contribute to advancement of earth science in our area of technical specialization; maintain quality throughout a project and implement improvements when determined; prepare project summary reports; be a role model and technical mentor for our staff; and,Travel within Canada when required.

Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering from CEAB-accredited institution ~4+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical, engineering. ~ Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from CEAB-accredited institution. ~10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering on complex multidisciplinary project. ~ Expert user of software including PLAXIS, Rocscience suite, Geostudio package, Seismic Hazard Analysis Software, such as Pro Shake, RSPMatch EDT, EZ-FRISK, OpenQuake, Deep Soil. ~ Knowledge of elastic, elastoplastic and advanced constitutive models for linear and nonlinear materials. ~ Experience with and ability to make informed decisions regarding intrusive and non-intrusive field investigations, basic and advanced laboratory testing and material characterization. ~ Experience with coupled and uncoupled seepage analysis, slope stability analysis and deformation analysis. ~ Experience with liquefaction assessment and seismic engineering related to civil engineering projects including bridges, buildings, tunnels and dams. ~ Experience with conceptual and feasibility level design, preliminary design, detailed design, construction, and site closure. ~ Experience with field investigation techniques such as CPT, SPT, PMT, DMT and their utilization in the static and seismic design. ~ To support this commitment,
