In this role you will design structural elements and systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood for small to medium projects and collaborate on larger projects under a Senior Structural Engineer. Work on multiple projects of small to large scale using various materials. Interact with a wide variety of clients from owners, developers, consultants, and contractors.

Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings for concrete, steel, masonry and wood building structures. Meet project timelines and budgets. Coordinate design work with other disciplines, offices, and project team members.

Prepare and review technical reports. Participate in Stantec’s quality assurance and quality control process. Perform construction administration including site reviews. General knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes (ex.





Understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. Knowledge of structural systems, means & methods of construction, and materials. Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and engage in creative and critical thinking.

Understanding of structural engineering concepts and effective communication skills. Understanding of component design software and building analysis software; Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from an accredited university required. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Field work may require travel and exposure to elements including inclement weather.
