We are currently recruiting for a Structural EIT to join our team. Prepare cost effective structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender and construction in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards, working under supervision of senior structural engineer. Perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and mining projects.

Perform site visits and inspect existing structures. Perform evaluation and analysis of existing structures for modifications and additions, and propose reinforcement solutions. Prepare material take-off of steel and concrete.

Complete tasks under minimal supervision ensuring that objectives of cost, quality and time are met. Be able to work directly with engineering and drafting staff in order to produce detailed drawing packages. Liaise with client representatives and general contractors directly.

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering from a recognized University.



(Master's degree would be considered an asset). 2-4 years of structural engineering experience with an engineering consulting firm. Registration as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with EGBC. Knowledge in design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, and various types of concrete foundations for buildings and equipment.

Familiarity in structural engineering design software such as STAAD.Pro, MathCAD and Microsoft Office products.

Experience with AutoCAD, NavisWorks and Smart Plant would be considered an asset.
