AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Burnaby is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the delivery of high-impact building and infrastructure projects across Western Canada.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced structural leaders on a diverse portfolio of projects while developing technical expertise, project delivery capabilities, and leadership skills within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Support the structural design and delivery of building and infrastructure projects from planning through construction. Perform structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry systems.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation. Coordinate with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Participate in site reviews, structural assessments, investigations,
and construction support services.
Support quality reviews and the application of AECOM's technical standards and best practices. Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop technical and project leadership capabilities. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering + four (4) years of relevantexperience.
Experience supporting building and infrastructure projects.
Valid
Class 5 driver's licence. 2+ years of structural engineering experience in British Columbia. ~5+ years of structural engineering experience. ~ Experience delivering transit, municipal, industrial, institutional, commercial, or public-sector projects. ~ Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to technical excellence. ~ Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, or equivalent structural analysis and design software. ~ Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance. Relocation is not available for this position. Security clearance may be required on a project-specific basis.
