Role overview

WorkSafeBC is seeking a motivated Business Analyst intern for its Business Engagement Services department.

Business Engagement Services provides project management, business analysis, change management, and process improvement services.

This is a four-month co-op role starting in September 2026.

Workplace

- The role is based in the Richmond office five days a week.

Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze information from management, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations supporting strategic initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and improve business processes.
- Analyze operations to improve efficiency and quality.
- Assist project teams with business process analysis and documentation for new systems or enhancements.
- Complete onboarding and administrative, technological, security, and payroll setup tasks.

Candidate Qualifications

- Candidates should demonstrate flexibility across a wide variety of tasks and functions.
- Solid multitasking, prioritization,



and adaptability skills are required.
- Candidates must work independently with minimal supervision and in team environments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.

Background and experience
- An MBA internship major or specialization in consulting, strategy, technology, innovation, or operations management is required.
- Working knowledge of project management, process improvement, program evaluation, data analysis, facilitation, research, innovation, or change management is an asset.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience is required.

Eligibility
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Candidates must be registered students at a post-secondary institution participating in a work-integrated learning program.

Compensation

- The salary is $34.04 per hour.
- The role includes 4% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation.
