Student, New Technology Introduction

Term: September 26, 2026 to December 31, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Ottawa, Test Lab (Hybrid)
Salary: $18.15 to $30.30/hourly rate dependent on level of education
Language Requirement: English Essential
Eligibility List: CATSA will use this opportunity to establish a list of candidates eligible to fill subsequent vacancies. The eligibility list may be used to staff other student positions with similar responsibilities and qualifications.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Provide support for testing and evaluation activities at the test facility;
- Provide support for testing and evaluation of hold-baggage screening (HBS) system at airports;
- Collect and analyze data;
- Generate test reports;
- Update the test facility test object and stimulant inventory.
What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree in the field of engineering, computer science,
technology, or in a specialty relevant to the duties of the position;
- Experience with collecting and organizing data, and writing test procedures and test reports; and
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- Valuable research and writing skills;
- Professional approach to work;
- Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and organize work efficiently;
- Ability to work well in team, independently and under pressure.
To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance;
- Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and
- Be returning to full-time or part time studies in the next academic year.
