Looking for a Studio Assistant Contractor

We're a small but growing fabrication studio in Winnipeg's Exchange District. We specialize in custom design and fabrication using a variety of materials and tools including 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, and woodworking.

We're looking for someone passionate about making things — no experience necessary. If you're willing to learn, we'll teach you everything.

What you'd be doing

— Assisting with custom designs and fabrication projects

— Operating and maintaining studio equipment

— Taking care of the studio space

— Learning CAD design and fabrication processes

— Possible contributions to future R&D; projects

Location: In person at our Exchange District studio — 290 McDermot Ave, 5th Floor, Winnipeg, MB





This role requires regular in-person studio visits — typically a few times per week for a few hours, scheduled flexibly based on project needs and mutual availability.

Contract rate: $300–$500/month (month to month)

Note: This is a contractor position — not employment. As a contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes and remittances.
