SSR Mining Inc. is an intermediate gold company with five producing assets located in the USA, Turkey, Canada, and Argentina, and a global pipeline of high‑quality development and exploration assets in the USA, Turkey, and Canada. Supervisor, Maintenance (Mobile) Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, the Supervisor, Maintenance will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the shops and mobile equipment both on surface and underground. The role involves organizing, distributing, and verifying the work of the workforce, establishing priorities and schedules, handling work orders, verifying purchase orders, and maintaining equipment safety and performance.
Directly supervise, deploy personnel, and assign maintenance work based on weekly plans, production targets, and preventive maintenance schedules while applying quality standards and safe, efficient, environmentally acceptable practices. Ensure urgent breakdown repairs are addressed safely, adequately, and timely. Lead and organize structured routine safety inspections and perform job observations.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems, implement measures, and track improvements. Work closely with procurement to prioritize required parts and materials, ensuring availability to meet equipment targets. Maintain compliance with planned maintenance schedules, create service reports,
close work orders, and manage equipment backlog.
Review safe work plans and hazard assessments with crew before jobs commence. Prepare and complete maintenance documents (crew line‑up, attendance forms, timesheets, shift production reports, equipment reports, etc.). Communicate pre‑ and post‑shift activities to the crew.
Coordinate crew training as required. Serve as a resource for maintenance planners regarding task organization, parts requirements, task duration, manpower schedules, and equipment maintenance needs. Assist in managing and developing employee performance through consistent performance management techniques.
High level of knowledge of mobile and processing equipment maintenance. Working knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination principles. Ability to manage rapid‑paced, high‑stress situations.
Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Interprovincial journeyperson certification in a field related to mobile equipment maintenance. This position follows a 2‑weeks‑on, 2‑weeks‑off schedule at a remote camp, requiring fly‑in, fly‑out with pick‑up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
