Reporting to the Supervisor of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely distribution of clean linen throughout the Queen Site and the preparation and return of soiled linen to the laundry service. The candidate is also responsible for shipping, tracking, and returning COG (customer-owned goods), e.g., You will assist in tracking and filling Linen orders; The ability to follow the department's safety protocols, policies, and procedures is essential. This position includes repeated bending and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling in keeping with the physical demands of loading and unloading Linen.
This position may require reassignment to other areas within the Supply Chain Department. This position requires linen inventory and constant communication with the linen Company, ECOTEX, and the creation of an expense report to be submitted to the finance department. This position is currently located at the Queen Site.
Candidates will have a Secondary School diploma with at least 6 months of relevant experience.Experience with linen carts and pallet movers is considered an asset. The successful candidate must have an understanding of Inventory procedures and be in constant contact with the supplier for inventory purposes, also responsible for sending bills to the supervisor for approval of payment.Robust customer service skills when dealing with both clients and staff are required. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
