Provide vital homemaking services to clients, focusing on supportive care in daily living. Key tasks include housecleaning, meal prep, and emotional support, ensuring a dignified living space. As a Homemaker for the Home Care Program, you will play an essential role in assisting individuals struggling with aging, illness, or disabilities.
You'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, supporting emotional well-being, and documenting the care provided. Your professionalism will ensure that all relevant policies are met while enhancing clients' quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough housekeeping and laundry activities
- Ensure operation of household appliances is monitored
- Offer companionship and emotional encouragement
- Record daily activities and client observations accurately
- Support the care plan and participate in meetings
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Experience working with elderly individuals preferred
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification required
- Ability to drive with a valid Ontario license
- Knowledge of Ojibwe traditions is a plus
