This is achieved through active safety supervision, incident prevention, and emergency response while providing high-quality instruction for a wide variety of aquatic programs.
Spend your working hours in a fun environment, sharing your passion for teaching and swimming while living an active lifestyle!What will you do?Delivering swimming lessons and aquatic programs with exceptional customer service, cultivating a positive experience for all participantsMaintaining a safe and tidy environment, and organizing, setting up, and cleaning equipment at your designated teaching area; as well as ensuring that all program supplies and equipment are readily available when delivering lessonsDeveloping and delivering program content tailored to participants with diverse abilities, including creating lesson plans, making modifications,
and providing instructional materials specific to the programKeeping a record of participant progress and performance while delivering swimming lessons evaluationsPrevent injuries by helping the programs and lifeguard team providing public education, enforcing safety rules and regulations, and recognizing and responding appropriately in the event of an emergencyRecognize and respond to incidents requiring first aid or other safety-related concernsMaintain a positive attitude and always portray a professional image when interacting with the public Who you are?Minimum 16 years of ageA positive and energetic personality who is hard-working and team-orientedAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment by multi-tasking and efficiently prioritizing workloadA passion for working with kids and helping our patrons live a healthy lifestyleA commitment to ongoing learning and skill development, including the ability to complete monthly fitness and knowledge skills tests, attend all required training and in-service sessions, and complete additional courses or certifications as requiredCertifications:Bronze CrossLS Swim InstructorIntermediate First Aid with CPR CCertifications Considered an asset: Lifesaving Swim Abilities Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor,
