NIDES teachers commit to working online and face-to-face with students, colleagues, and parents. Teachers actively research, develop, and maintain advanced online curriculum and support blended instruction in classrooms, learning centers, and through tutorials. They teach students province wide & work on-site at a Comox Valley School.

Training, certification and/or direct experience teaching in an online learning (OL) environment Experience, training and education related to the design and instruction of math within an online learning environment at the secondary school level Experience, training,



and education in adult education Experience teaching math to adult learners in an adult education workplace Advanced skills in maintaining an online classroom in a learning management system Experience developing and implementing online learning platforms within the modern languages portfolio (Brightspace, Zoom, Teams) to enhance student learning Ability to work with and provide tutorial support for students online and in person Our educational team is committed to engaging learners to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication and social competencies.
