About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Tax Accountant to join their fully remote finance department, supporting operations that have a strong connection to Kimberley . This role is crucial for ensuring tax compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and providing expert advice on tax matters. You will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, managing tax audits, and staying abreast of evolving tax legislation. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the financial well-being of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and file corporate income tax returns, VAT returns, and other relevant tax submissions accurately and on time.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify potential tax planning opportunities and risks.
- Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities (e.g., SARS).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
- Provide tax advice and support to the finance team and other business units.




- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation changes and their impact on the company.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; a professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CTA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in corporate tax accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws, regulations, and SARS practices.
- Proficiency in tax software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
