About the Board
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.
The Program
The Plumbing and Heating program prepares students to practice the trade of pipe fitter. The trade is part of the building services sector and includes two specialties: plumbing and heating. This involves installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems, including water supply and drainage, hydronic, steam, forced air, oil, radiant, natural gas, and propane heating systems. New technologies such as renewable energy (geothermal, solar) are also covered.
Requirements
- Fluency in two (2)
of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English, and French).
- Experience in adult education.
- Experience teaching multi‑level classes.
Assets
- Knowledge of the MEES programs.
- Experience teaching English and French as a second language.
- Knowledge of the Moodle platform.
Salary & Advantages
Salary and benefits are as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board, ranging from $54,119 to $105,432 annually, prorated based on the percentage of the task.
