Contribute to academic success as a Teaching Assistant for the Sociology of Law course SOC 3700 at the University of Manitoba. Guide students through their learning path by providing instructional support. This is a part-time role within the Department of Sociology commencing in January 2027.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will engage in instructional planning, prepare course materials, and assess student performance. Robust communication and a proactive approach to student concerns are essential traits for this position to ensure effective learning outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present educational materials for tutorials
- Participate in course meetings with faculty and teaching staff
- Assess and grade student work, including exams
- Schedule and maintain consultation hours for student support
- Assist in creating multimedia content for lessons
Requirements:
- Completed studies relevant to sociology or education
- Experience in tutoring or instructional roles is an asset
- Strong communication skills in English
