Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computational Designer to join our data-driven Computational Design team.
This role is focused on the development and application of advanced computational workflows in architecture, urban design, planning and engineering projects. We work on a broad range of local and international projects for both public and private sector clients. This role is suited for a candidate with strong technical capabilities and the ability to translate design intent into computational solutions.

Build computational models for various projects Work interoperably between many different platforms and formats including 3D modeling software, GIS, BIM, and software development environments.
Work with a range of project related data sources and formats including environmental, economic, planning and demographic data. Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, best practices,
and software applications Build technical expertise across the firm and provide continuing education Communicate technical ideas in a verbally and graphically accessible manner Create presentation and report materials to support projects Build quality relationships with team members and across the organization Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Computational Design, Interactive Media Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related fields (Master’s Degree preferred) Strong skills in Rhino and Grasshopper with demonstrated experience building and deploying complex parametric models Knowledge of programming languages (Python highly preferred) and experience using these to extend the capabilities of Grasshopper 3+ years of relevant experience in a professional Urban Design, Planning, Landscape Architectural, or Architectural firm preferred Project portfolio showcasing parametric modeling Ability to deliver in challenging project timeframes and deadlines Selected applications will be asked to present a past computational design project for technical review You’ll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you’ll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet. The salary range for this position is $90,000- $110,000.
