Work with engineers, technologists and trades people to help our clients succeed in the construction of critical oil and gas infrastructure projects. Interpret regulatory and statutory requirements, codes and customer specifications relating to fabrication, welding and materials.

Monitor welding parameters, and write procedure qualification records and welding procedure specifications under the direction of the Welding Services Supervisor. Prepare in-house work orders that communicate testing requirements to other departments and maintain traceability of samples and associated documentation under the direction of the Welding Services Supervisor.



Interpret laboratory test report results under the direction of the Welding Services Supervisor.

Conduct welder performance qualification testing under the supervision of the Welding Services Supervisor. Assist clients with the implementation welding processes and technologies Perform routine maintenance on various welding machines and general shop upkeep Participate in quality improvement and cost reduction efforts. May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed.

Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program (three-year program) is required.

Welding Examiner

Certificate of Competency issued by ABSA is required. 2 Level 2 Welding Inspector Certificate of Compliance is required.
