We currently have exciting Casual opportunities for - Technician Medical Device Reprocessing to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital located in Langley, BC . Medical device reprocessing technicians are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of equipment and supplies in our operating rooms and other areas in the hospitals Cleans, decontaminates, checks, tests, assembles, sterilizes and distributes supplies, instruments and equipment related to the Operating Room and other areas of the Hospital; Performs related clerical duties Completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course which includes a practicum , plus one year's recent related experience Comprehensive health perks including extended health and dental 100% paid by us, that cover you and your whole family.

Cleans, decontaminates, checks, tests, assembles, sterilizes and distributes supplies, instruments and equipment related to the Operating Room and other areas of the Hospital; performs related clerical duties. Receives, sorts, disassembles, decontaminates, cleans, assembles, wraps, sterilizes, and stores instruments, equipment and hospital supplies from all user areas. Prepares equipment, instruments and supplies for storage and distribution by checking, testing,



calibrating, assembling, packaging, wrapping and sterilizing according to established procedures.

Operates departmental equipment such as automated washers, cart washer, pasteurizer, ultrasonic washer, clean dryer, heat sealer, and sterilizers. Maintains in conjunction with the Supervisor or Leader, departmental stock of supplies according to established procedures by checking against inventory levels. Participates in routine maintenance of Department's equipment by cleaning, checking and testing sterilizers, mechanical washers and other MDR equipment; Participates in the Department's Quality Assurance Program.

Performs clerical duties such as assisting with recording of workload statistics on supplies and equipment dispatched from the department, answering the telephone, completing maintenance requisitions for signature, maintaining records, filing, and typing. Picks supplies and instruments for surgical cases. Grade 12, plus successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program, plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
