The salary range for this position is: ~ Performance range:Progression beyond the recruitment range is available through annual performance increases, in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement Reporting to the Manager, Educational Technology Support, the Educational Technology Strategist provides orientation, training, technical support and best practices for use of learning technology to Faculty members, instructors, staff, and students. The position works collaboratively with other team members in the Learning and Teaching Innovation division to design, create, write and deliver concise, easy to understand solutions and training manuals/multimedia for the team and campus community. This position is responsible for providing client support to both faculty and students and requires familiarity with providing remote client support and assistance for university-wide learning platforms.

As such, the position requires familiarity with a variety of learning technology platforms, including Brightspace (or an equivalent LMS), WordPress, video conferencing and collaboration tools student engagement tools, online assessment tools and other technologies that are used for teaching and learning, and the ability to work with “administrator” access within these platforms.



The role also develops and delivers workshops and training resources to support the adoption and successful integration of educational technologies. This is a heavy client support position, and the candidate must be ready to work with multiple deadlines and projects while maintaining a high quality of client service.

This position may require evening and weekend hours. This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of related experience supporting others in the use of technologies and learning are required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
