Collaborate with the City of Mississauga as a Temporary Communications Advisor until January 2028. This role focuses on promoting City events and developing strategic communication plans. Supporting the Supervisor, Employee Communications, you will enhance City programs, services, and projects through creative storytelling. You'll be responsible for executing and evaluating official City events while managing media relations and social media strategies.

Your role emphasizes developing high-quality communications materials for diverse channels and responding to public inquiries. Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and evaluate official City events and protocols
- Develop and implement internal and external communication plans
- Create engaging communication materials across all platforms




- Manage media pitches to promote City initiatives
- Advise on corporate communications and respond to inquiries

Requirements:

- Post-secondary degree in communications or related field
- Minimum of three years in public relations or communications
- Robust skills in MS Office, social media, and content creation
- Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
- Experience working with senior leaders in public settings
