Fort St. John
The Fort St. John Association for Community Living is seeking a temporary Community Support Worker. Play a key role in supporting community inclusion and enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
As part of the Supported-Independent Living Program, you will coordinate service hours to meet client needs, while fostering self-determination and safety. You'll work collaboratively to create opportunities for individuals to engage with their community, enhancing their overall well-being and fostering independence. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate service hours around individual needs
- Strengthen self-determination and safety within the community
- Enhance life quality through health and choice promotion
- Facilitate activities encouraging community involvement
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for all participants
Requirements:
- Must hold a Class 5 Driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle
- Capable of passing a criminal record check
- Possess excellent communication and empathy skills
- Demonstrated flexibility in service schedules
- Initiative in leading and teaching individuals
