Temporary Full-Time Mental Health Therapist The Mental Health Therapist provides assessment, therapeutic intervention and care coordination to individuals experiencing mental health concerns. Working within an interdisciplinary Mental Health & Addictions team, the role collaborates with patients, families, healthcare providers and community partners to promote continuity of care and facilitate access to appropriate services. Deliver individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling based on client needs.
Monitor client progress, document clinical encounters, and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with DRHC and Dryden Regional Mental Health & Addictions Services standards. Provide referrals, linkages, and advocacy with internal and external partners, including culturally appropriate supports, psychiatrists, probation/parole, community services, and financial/social programs. Attend client appointments in the community or client homes as required.
Participate in program development, quality improvement activities, and professional development. Degree in Social Work, Psychology,
Psychiatric Nursing or related discipline Two years' experience in mental health counselling Training in suicide intervention Proficient computer skills Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour Immunization record, including proof of Covid-19 vaccination status must be presented prior to hire This is a Temporary, Non-Union position with an approximate duration of 14 months. Annual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, ranging from $93,542 to $99,353, plus up to 21% in lieu of vacation and perks.
