We are a service-based organization made up of great people who work hard to get the job done and deliver excellence in the communities where we work and live. ATCO Frontec is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our team in Pond Inlet, NU.

The Skilled

Labourer is an essential member of our operations team assisting other experienced construction or trades staff with activities at the various work sites. This position is temporary with a start date of September 23 to approximately October 21. Travel, meals, and accommodations included.

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment Manual excavation and trenching using hand and air operated tools Load and unload cargo and construction materials, and move materials to work areas using skid steers,



loaders and pickup trucks Erect and dismantle, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role operating machinery would be considered an asset Experience working in a remote environment is considered an asset Ability to build and work in a team workplace is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion and successful passing of a pre-employment alcohol & drug test, fit to work medical test, and criminal record check.
