About CBI Health’s Community Rehabilitation Services: Working in communities across Ontario, our Team treats clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre‑accident function.
In our Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with clients such as first responders who’ve experienced trauma in the workplace. They have the opportunity to conduct in‑vivo exposure therapy and behavioural activation, and facilitate trauma processing, coping and return to function. Our innovative approach to evidence‑based care incorporates novel interventions like virtual reality to promote industry‑leading mental health outcomes.
Occupational
Therapists within our Complex Auto program assess and treat clients presenting with various physical (musculoskeletal, orthopaedic), cognitive (TBIs, concussions) and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents. Working in a community setting, you will have the chance to complete in‑home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment and several other interventions.
