Purpose

Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.

This is an entry level position. Incumbent may operate any one of the following machines: Operate a bender to fabricate reinforcing steel to required dimensions

Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths. Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped. Unload trailers and store materials in storage bins. Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping. Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner. Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.





Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) Benefits Extended health, dental and vision care perks.

Physical Demands Some heavy lifting may be necessary.

Working conditions can be noisy/dusty/hot/cold/

Outdoor shop, exposed to all elements.

Special Demands

Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.

Must be able to work any shift. Must become familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.

Must have a form of reliable transportation. Location is not accessible via public transportation and not within walking distance.
