Join the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre as a Cultural Resource Coordinator. This full-time position emphasizes traditional teachings and cultural awareness in community settings. In this role, you will coordinate cultural knowledge initiatives and engage with Elders to serve primarily children, youth, and families.

Your efforts will enhance community outreach and promote healing and reconciliation among Friendship Centre communities. A strong understanding of Indigenous culture is essential for success. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee cultural planning and knowledge transfer
- Deliver traditional teachings and ceremonies
- Coordinate access to Elders and support groups
- Foster cultural safety and competency in the community
- Design and lead educational workshops

Requirements:

- In-depth understanding of Indigenous history and culture
- Five years of experience in Indigenous organizations
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent
- Robust interpersonal and case management skills
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to transportation
