About the Project Pape Tunnel Underground Stations (PTUS), a vital segment of the Ontario Line, enhances connectivity, reduces congestion, and supports sustainable growth in Toronto. Webuild, in joint venture, leads this project—constructing 3.2 km of tunnel using advanced technology and two underground stations designed for future capacity, safety, accessibility, and seamless integration with Toronto’s transit network. To learn more about our project: Ontario Line - Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations We are hiring a Traffic & Logistics Coordinator to join our team on the PTUS project. This position reports to the Traffic Manager. Prepare, review, and update Traffic Control Plans, and submit RODARS applications for upcoming closures and stage modifications.
Manage traffic material inventory and conditions (signage, barriers, delineators, channelizing devices), replacing damaged or missing items promptly. Ensure AODA-compliant temporary pedestrian and cyclist accommodations through work zones. Maintain emergency services (fire, EMS, police) access through work zones and provide notification of closures.
Coordinate with TTC on transit detours, temporary or relocated stops,
and service-impact notifications. Work closely with subcontractors, traffic control personnel (TCPs), flaggers, brokers, truck operators, and project teams to ensure compliance with traffic requirements. Maintain lane closure daily inspections and checklists; verify OTM Book 7 compliance and adherence to the approved Traffic Control Plan and project traffic and hauling requirements.
Monitor and enforce the Zero Tolerance Hauling Policy and approved traffic management procedures. Investigate traffic-related incidents, non-compliance events, route deviations, and unauthorized truck movements. Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs), traffic-related documentation, and project correspondence.
Coordinate haul route activities and truck logistics with subcontractors and construction teams. Track truck movements and delivery activities to support project operations. Driver check-in records, Driver acknowledgement forms, Haul route documentation, and traffic control reports.
Maintain accurate records of trucking operations and site access activities. Support disciplinary and corrective action processes involving brokers, trucking companies, drivers, and subcontractors when non-compliance is identified. Conduct real-time monitoring of haul truck movements (3+ axles) within Ward 14 and designated project routes using Geotab GPS telematics.
Monitor contractor adherence to approved hauling routes and traffic restrictions. Maintain truck identification records and Ontario Line truck signage tracking. Maintain project records, correspondence, databases, logs, and tracking tools.
Prepare presentations, dashboards, reports, and data summaries.
Support special projects and additional administrative tasks as required. Assist the Traffic Manager and Construction Team with project coordination activities.
Post-secondary education or certification in: Traffic Management, Logistics, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or Related discipline ~2 to 5 years of experience in Traffic coordination, Construction coordination, Logistics or haul route coordination, Construction site logistics, Transportation compliance ~ Working knowledge of City of Toronto Code Chapter 950 and the Highway Traffic Act ~ Experience with GPS/telematics monitoring and compliance reporting ~ Ontario Traffic Control (Book 7) certification an asset ~ Expertise in the following software.
