Job Title: Lowbed Driver/Log Truck Driver 4EG is the officially designated and authorized flagship resource company for the Saulteau First Nations for natural resource development opportunities. We're a diverse company, proud of our heritage, and a significant forestry logging contractor. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver with low bedding experience and strong knowledge of operating, loading, and transporting heavy equipment.
Safely operate trucks with low-bed trailers for transporting heavy equipment. Load and unload logging, construction and pipeline equipment, ensuring proper securement. Operate heavy equipment as required to assist with loading, unloading, and site activities.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues. Follow all company, provincial, and federal transportation regulations. Collaborate with site supervisors and crew to ensure secure and efficient operations.
This role reports to the Facility and Logistic Lead,
working closely with the Field Supervisors and Project Managers. Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal Ancestry, prior 4EG employees and residents to the 4EG operating areas. Possess a current valid Class 1 license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience in the construction/logging industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid safety certificates an asset (OFA Level 1 minimum, WHMIS 2015, TDG, Oilfield Driver Awareness, Construction Safety Training Systems, Pipeline Construction Safety Training and S-100(Fire Suppression). Must supply, maintain and be knowledgeable in the use of their own required and approved safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate clothing and tools, equipment and supplies. Submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol (D&A;) testing.
