Komatsu is looking for a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Field Underground – FIFO to join our underground field service team. Travel: 100% within Canada and potentially the USA Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.

Represent

Komatsu and support underground mining equipment through a rotational schedule. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment. Perform maintenance, service, and repair on multiple equipment at our client’s operations.

Commission new equipment, including pre-delivery inspections and on-site startup. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve recurring issues. Support customers with technical expertise and recommend improvements.

Complete detailed service reports and documentation. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams. Mentor junior technicians and support customer teams. Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal is an asset).

Experience with underground mining equipment is considered an asset. Solid understanding of mechanical and machine control systems, with the ability to apply them in the field. No restrictions for accessing mine sites.

Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel and work overtime as required.
