Technical Project
Manager – Grande Prairie, AB, or surrounding area As an Intermediate Environmental Project Manager, in Grande Prairie you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi‑disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. Manage a portfolio of straightforward to moderately complex project scopes, schedules and budgets and coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines to facilitate delivery of high‑quality products to meet our client’s requirements Communicate with client’s program management team and project related stakeholders and subcontractors on technical and project management scopes Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates, including preparing sub‑contractor requests for proposals and complete proposal evaluation to present sub‑contractor with recommendations in‑line with client procurement standards Prepare technical reports with a primary focus on regulatory submissions (Record of Site Conditions, Comprehensive Site Reviews,
Conceptual Site Models, Phase 1 ESA, Phase 2 ESA, RMP/RAP, Detailed Site Assessments, Remedial Summary Reports, and Remediation or Reclamation Certificate Applications) These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineering A minimum of six (6) years previous environmental consulting experience with a minimum of two (2) years of direct project management experience Experience with estimating costs and leading site assessment and remediation programs in the oil & gas industry Experience writing technical reports including ESAs, RMPs, RAPs, etc.
Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior and intermediate professionals Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an asset Experience with Workday software would be an asset A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions We are not accepting third‑party agency applicants at this time.
