Enhance municipal services as a Utilities Maintenance Operator with the City of Courtenay in the Operational Services Department. This full time role involves maintenance, installations, and inspections of vital water and wastewater systems. The City of Courtenay is seeking Utilities Maintenance Operators (I, II, III) to support our Utilities Division.

Ideal candidates will utilize hands-on skills for the maintenance and repair of water distribution, wastewater collection, and storm water systems. Candidates should hold relevant certifications and be prepared for manual labor in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities:

- Construct, install, and repair water and wastewater systems
- Inspect and maintain storm water conveyance lines




- Operate light and heavy equipment safely
- Maintain records of inspection and maintenance work
- Collaborate within a team to deliver efficient operations

Requirements:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- EOCP certification for Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection
- Valid BC Class 3 Driver's License with Air Endorsement
- 3 years' experience in municipal utilities
- Willingness to complete additional safety training
