Reporting to the VRT Supervisor, the VRT Operator will be responsible for ensuring the consistent flow of product from the plant through the Variable Retention Time Freezer, in accordance with Company specifications.

This is to fill an existing position in the company.

Location: 8301 Winston Churchill Blvd, Brampton, ON L6Y 0A2

Shift: Weekly Rotational Shifts; days, afternoons, and nights

What you will be doing:

- Performs assigned tasks in the designated department to ensure that the equipment is maintained and operates at optimal performance. Performs preventative maintenance on VRT equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment when necessary; dismantles, cleans, and reassembles equipment as needed for processing.
- Works closely with Department and Maintenance Supervisor, providing feedback as to how equipment is performing.
- Sets up equipment to ensure that all products manufactured in the department meet Company and customer requirements.
- Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, according to GMPs.

a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes,



standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

What you will bring:

- • Experience in the food industry, preferably in a ready-to-eat and unionized environment;
- • Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS;
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced workplace where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential;
- Advanced Computer Skills (ability to learn related programming of VRT equipment).
- Highschool Diploma
