Barn is currently looking for an Ice Maintenance Person (ticketed).

The Ice Maintenance

Person is a pro‑active and hands‑on individual who performs general maintenance to ensure facility upkeep and regular flooding of ice rinks is completed in a timely and protected manner. Their primary responsibilities include ice resurfacing and edging (operating the Ice Resurfacer), janitorial work and general maintenance of facility. Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes Responsible for Ice Maintenance tasks including Ice Painting Arena Glass replacement Hockey net refurbishment Execute maintenance and repair of facility fixtures and components Janitorial duties as assigned.

These may include janitorial checklists, vacuuming, auto scrubbing,



waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures Seasonal snow and debris removal Perform minor maintenance on facility and ice maintenance equipment including: Valid Ice Facility Operator/Refrigeration Operator of 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate Previous experience, training and operation of ice resurfacing equipment Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends) Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude (preferred) Trade or Janitorial experience is an advantage If you are interested in learning more and becoming part of the Canlan team please apply online.
