JOB TITLE: Lead Child and Youth Worker | #2237
SERVICE AREA: Early Learning & Youth Services
LOCATION: Brock Junction (General Brock Elementary)
START DATE: October 13, 2026

TERM/STATUS: Permanent Part Time

SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday 12:00-18:00 // 30 hours per week

Part time during school days, Temporary Full time hours during school breaks (Winter, Summer and Spring) and professional development days.

HOURLY WAGE: $30.22 - $33.54 as per collective agreement
THE ROLE:
The Lead Child & Youth Worker ensures the provision of an enriched school age program by providing opportunities for learning and social skill development for children; including participants requiring extra support.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Certificate or minimum of 3 years in related studies toward a degree such as Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Child Care, Social Sciences, or Education.




Minimum 1 year of direct experience with children in a school aged setting.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Formal training in the area of counselling and behavior management.

Requires physical strength, good balance, mobility and endurance for recreational activities.

Standard requirements of the Lead Child and Youth Worker include: Criminal Record Clearance

Medical Clearance
Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
Class 5 Driver's License
Able to obtain Class 4 unrestricted Driver's License
Valid First Aid/CPR
Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification - training will be provided
Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
Basic computer literacy
