Join the Canucks Autism Network as a Swim Instructor, dedicated to enhancing aquatic skills for participants in a fun and accepting setting. This position works at multiple locations across Metro Vancouver.
As a Swim Instructor, you'll deliver tailored lessons designed to meet the diverse needs of Autistic children and youth. Collaborating with support workers, you'll ensure a refined approach to program delivery, focusing on both skill development and enjoyment.
This role not only offers skilled growth through mentorship but also contributes to meaningful community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute lesson plans tailored for participants
- Implement autism-informed coaching strategies
- Foster a welcoming and interactive learning space
- Work alongside supervisors for successful program delivery
- Conduct swimming skills assessments and provide evaluations
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year coaching experience preferred
- Must hold First Aid and CPR-C certifications
- Required swim instructor qualification
- Must be 16 years or older
- Successful criminal record check required
