As a Youth Support Worker at Covenant House Vancouver, you will provide crucial assistance to youth aged 16-24 in a residential stabilization program.
Your role will center on creating a trauma-informed space that encourages growth, resilience, and improved emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist youth upon entry to services
- Develop meaningful relationships with at-risk youth
- Provide crisis intervention and administer first aid
- Maintain documentation and incident reports
- Organize recreational activities for youth
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a related field
- Minimum one year in relevant harm reduction settings
- Understanding of the issues related to youth homelessness
- Familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety principles
- First Aid certification is a plus
